I turned on PLEX yesterday, pulled out my paint box and got to work. As the original Harry Potter sought out the ways of wizardry to destroy the monsters plaguing his home and family I sought out to conquer the rest of this canvas. I managed to get the details done in less than three hours. I was rather critical about about getting the details down right. I have the background already laid out on the third. I've not touched the canvas today though.
In other news. Part of the original cast has decided to give Troll a second go in the box office. veteran dwarf actor Phil Fondacaro; Willow (Vohnkar!), Sabrina The Teenage Witch and Starwars: The Return of the Jedi, has signed on with 80's television regular Noah Hathaway; CHiP's, Battlestar Galactica and Mork & Mindy.
Noah will be playing the part of Turok the fairy king/prince cursed to spend his existence as a troll. Mr. Fondacaro will be playing Malcolm once again. As far as I can tell this movie is just another make over that Hollywood seems hellbent on making. Even though it's being filmed in Italy, I am sure it's for monetary and not an Italian brewed idea.
I do have some hopes for this possible beer and pretzels movie. I assume the writers will put more into establishing a background story and the effects will be special this time. With the advances in technology I'm sure anything produced on a home PC would be of better quality than the original.
I have no hate for the original. It was always one of my favorite movies to watch as a kid. I don't think Julia Louis-Dreyfus will be joining them on this second go 'round. Unfortunately neither will the American icon Sonny Bono; whom of which met an unorthodox end in the original. If he were still alive I believe he would be a part of this remake and I am positive he would of had a cameo in the recently released musical Hairspray.
